Program Description:

In celebration of Kaamatan (30th & 31st May) and Gawai (1st & 2nd June) Harvest Festivals 2021, the Project VOCAL Committee is delighted to announce our fifth dialogue, The Truth Behind Our Cultural Heritage in Building Climate Resiliency. This dialogue will feature prominent youth leaders in the cultural heritage area as our panel of speakers. Join us to learn more about their experiences in the climate advocacy journeys, and their ideas on how youth can take part. 


In this session, you will learn about and be exposed to: 


  • Roles of representatives from indigenous communities and participation in climate advocacy.
  • How to contribute and support climate advocacy efforts, even during the pandemic.
  • Status of current policy sphere in climate advocacy, and what areas can be improved.
  • How youth can get involved in climate advocacy today, and the ways in which youth can use their voice in supporting climate change issues.
